Tide and Timber Travel Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: June 23, 2026
By using Tide and Timber Travel (“we,” “us,” or “our”) services or website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before engaging our services.
a. Services Provided
Tide and Timber Travel provides personalized travel planning services, which may include:
Trip research and recommendations
Itinerary creation
Booking assistance (hotels, transportation, activities)
Optional premium services (day-of support, dining reservations, custom kits, etc.)
Note: Some services, such as restaurant or activity reservations, do not provide commissions to the advisor. Any fees charged reflect planning, research, and convenience, not markups on the service itself.
b. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information needed for trip planning
Make timely payments for services and bookings
Follow travel provider policies (hotels, airlines, tours, etc.)
c. Payment & Fees
All service fees will be outlined after discussion starting at the fee listed in your selected tier or add-on package and may increase based on trip complexity.
Payments are due according to the schedule provided during booking.
Additional fees may apply for changes, cancellations, or special requests.
d. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Service fees are generally non-refundable once work begins (e.g., itinerary creation, booking confirmations).
Trip cancellations are subject to vendor cancellation policies. Tide and Timber Travel is not responsible for penalties, delays, or refunds imposed by third-party providers.
e. Limitation of Liability
Tide and Timber Travel acts as a travel advisor and consultant, not as the travel provider.
Clients assume responsibility for their actions and compliance with travel regulations, laws, and safety recommendations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tide and Timber Travel shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, supplier errors, personal injury, illness, death, property loss, travel disruptions, or expenses arising from travel arrangements booked through third-party suppliers.
f. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all trips. Clients are responsible for reviewing available coverage options and determining whether travel insurance meets their individual needs. Tide and Timber Travel is not responsible for losses, expenses, penalties, delays, cancellations, medical emergencies, or other travel-related issues resulting from a client's decision to decline travel insurance coverage.
g. Supplier Responsibility
Tide and Timber Travel acts solely as an intermediary between clients and independent travel suppliers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation providers, guides, outfitters, activity providers, and other travel-related vendors. We do not own, operate, manage, or control these suppliers and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, errors, delays, cancellations, financial insolvency, service failures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
h. Force Majeure
Tide and Timber Travel shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, cancellations, changes in itinerary, or losses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, wildfires, disease outbreaks, government actions, travel restrictions, labor disputes, transportation disruptions, supplier failures, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, or other force majeure events. No refunds, credits, or compensation shall be owed by Tide and Timber Travel for circumstances arising from force majeure events.
i. Travel Documentation
Clients are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid passports, visas, identification documents, vaccinations, permits, and any other required travel documentation. Tide and Timber Travel is not responsible for denied boarding, denied entry, missed departures, or travel disruptions resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, expired, or otherwise invalid documentation.
j. Wildlife & Outdoor Experiences
Many trips planned by Tide and Timber Travel involve wildlife viewing, fishing, hunting, outdoor recreation, and nature-based experiences. Wildlife sightings, fishing success, hunting opportunities, weather conditions, seasonal events, and natural phenomena cannot be guaranteed. Clients acknowledge that experiences in natural environments are inherently unpredictable and subject to environmental, seasonal, operational, and safety-related factors.
k. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles.
l. Service Area
Tide and Timber Travel primarily serves clients located in the United States; however, services may be available to clients residing elsewhere where permitted by law.
m. Data & Privacy
Personal information may be processed and stored by Fora and other service providers as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Clients consent to the collection and use of data necessary to provide travel planning services.
n. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
